Have you ever noticed how a smell can involuntarily transport you back in time, to a particular situation, to a special person or even force you to re-visit a difficult experience that you would prefer to forget? The unique odour of Jayes Fluid reminds me of blocked drains and rats and as such I have avoided it.
I can’t even remember buying it and I’m convinced that I didn’t, so it was fate that led me to find it in one of the kitchen cupboards. I was, in fact, looking for garden furniture cleaner. In its absence I decided to use what to my mind was a poor substitute. I added it to warm water and armed with wire wool started to attack the years worth of dirt, lichen and moss that had engulfed one of the garden chairs. I was instantly stunned as with hardly any effort at all the wood was cleaning up nicely, in fact it looked nearly new. Why on earth had I not used this miraculous product before?
This year I’m going to give the decking the Jayes treatment, will let you know how I get on.
